Waves Survive (package com.wavessurvive.game) is a pixel-art survival game available for Android and the web. This policy explains what information the game handles, why, and what stays on your device.
Short version: the game stores your progress on your device, and only sends data to our servers for the online leaderboard and multiplayer sessions. We don't sell data, show third-party ads, or track you across other apps.
Data we collect
Google Play Games profile (optional). If you sign in with Google Play Games, we receive your player ID and public display name. We use them to identify your scores on the leaderboard. We never receive your email address or password.
Leaderboard results. When you finish a run while signed in, the game submits your player ID, display name, score, wave statistics, game version, and device type (phone/desktop) to our server so daily and weekly rankings work.
Multiplayer session data (transient). When hosting or joining a world, our relay server passes your chosen player name, character skin, and game state between players. This data lives only in server memory during the session and is discarded when it ends.
If you never sign in and never play online, no data leaves your device at all.
Data stored on your device
Your world saves, inventory, willpower and skill upgrades, settings (volume, language, handedness), and sign-in state are stored locally on your device using the app's local storage. This data never reaches our servers and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its data.
How we use and keep data
Leaderboard entries are used only to display rankings and your rank history in-game.
Daily and weekly leaderboards reset on schedule; underlying results are kept to compute historical ranks.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Children
The game does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Signing in with Google Play Games is optional and governed by Google's own age requirements and the Google Privacy Policy. If you believe a child has submitted personal data to our leaderboard, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices & data deletion
Play offline or without signing in — nothing is sent to our servers.
Sign out of Google Play Games at any time to stop new leaderboard submissions.
To request deletion of your leaderboard entries, email us with your player display name and we will remove them.
